Cristiano Ronaldo scores twice as Portugal dominates Luxembourg in Euro 2024 qualifier

Portugal dominated Luxembourg 6-0 as Cristiano Ronaldo netted twice and debuted a new goal celebration.

Ronaldo's first goal came from Nuno Mendes' headed pass, with the star forward following it up with his classic "Siu" celebration before ending with a pretend sleep, referencing his habit of taking multiple naps daily. Ronaldo's two goals took his tally for Portugal to an impressive 122 in 198 appearances, having set the international appearance record just days prior. João Félix and Bernardo Silva also contributed headers to the Portuguese victory, with Otávio and Rafael Leão rounding out the scoreline. Portugal has now scored 10 goals without conceding across its first two qualifying games for Euro 2024.
