Description:
OTID (Cephradine) is valuable alternative drug for the
treatment of any bacterial infections that are usually treated by the oral
route.

Is Effective against both
Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
OTID (Cephradine), a first generation semisynthetic
cephalosporin antibiotic, is widely used in clinics for its activity against
both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is indicated in treatment of
urinary tract infections and otitis media.

A broad spectrum
bactericidal antibiotic effective in treatment of skin and soft tissue
infections
Oral first generation cephalosporin are
commonly prescribed to use against uncomplicated skin and soft tissue
infections such as cellulitis and abscesses commonly due to a staphylococci s
species or streptococci species infections.

A five-day regimen of Cephradine, 500mg
BID, offers the potential advantages of cost-efficiency and improved patient
compliance, while maintaining clinical efficacy in treating acute,

Owing to its broad spectrum of
antibacterial activity and low incidence of serious side-effects, Cephradine
appears to be equally effective and useful as cephalexin in pediatric practice.
Indications and Usage:
OTID (Cephradine) capsules and oral SUSP are indicated
in the treatment of the following infections,
v Upper
Respiratory tract infection;

Sinusitis, Pharyngitis,

Tonsillitis,
3)
Laryngo-tracheo bronchitis,
4)
Otitis media.
v Lower respiratory
tract infection;

Acute and chronic bronchitis

Lobar
